LAS VEGAS BOWL - Fresno State finished the regular season 11-2 and 9-4 ATS and its only losses were to Boise State and Minnesota - both on the road. The Bulldogs are #17 in the country in yards allowed (323.8 per game) and third in points allowed per game (13.7) behind only Mississippi State and Clemson. That gives them a big advantage defensively compared to Arizona State which allows 402.8 yards and 25.1 points per game. Fresno State avenged the loss to Boise State with an overtime win on the road in the Mountain West Conference Championship game and Marcus McMaryion went 20-of-32 for 170 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions even though the game was played on a snow-covered field. McMaryion has 25 TD passes with only three interceptions this season and he has thrown for 3,453 yards with a 69.8 percent completion rate. Fresno State coach Jeff Tedford is 18-6-2 ATS since taking over last year and the Bulldogs beat Houston 33-27 as a three-point underdog in the 2017 Hawaii Bowl. The Sun Devils pulled out a 41-40 win over Arizona in the regular season finale and Manny Wilkins competed 18-of-31 for 265 yards and a touchdown, but the Sun Devils allowed 238 rushing yards. Arizona State is 1-6 ATS its last seven games versus the Mountain West and 0-4 ATS their last four games in December. One of their top wide receivers, N'Keal Harry declared for the NFL Draft and won't play. The Bulldogs are 22-8 UNDER their last 30 games overall and 6-1-1 UNDER their last eight December games. Play Fresno State and UNDER.
