Arizona State at Utah

Arizona State has been up and down on offense all season and faces a terrific Utah defense. Arizona State turned the ball over nine times in the first four games. At least the Sun Devil defense keeps improving, winning four of five games while allowing 23 points or less in the wins. Arizona State is on a 5-1 run UNDER the total, including 6-2 UNDER after a spread cover. But they run into a Utah defense that is in a three-way tie for the national lead in turnover margin at plus-two per game. The Utes are plus-10 overall, rank tied for second with 17 takeaways and tied for third with 12 interceptions. They picked off California's Jared Goff, a Heisman Trophy candidate and expected high first-round draft pick, five times in last Saturday's 30-24 win over the then #23 Golden Bears. The Utes have had at least three turnovers in four of five games, including six against California, and average 3.4 turnovers per game. Utah is on a 4-0 run UNDER the total at home, as well as 11-4-1 UNDER overall. Coach Kyle Whittingham said this week they spend a lot of time trying to confuse quarterbacks by disguising coverages. Utah is 19-7-1 UNDER the total against a winning team and 8-3-1 UNDER in PAC-12 games. Play this one to finish UNDER.
