The Alabama Crimson Tide is once again poised at the top of the college football world. They will seek their fourth Championship in five years, as they look to solidify a dynasty. First up for them is Virginia Tech. Alabama is stacked on both sides of the ball, and always finds ways to replace departures on defense. They allowed just 10.9 points per game a year ago, and I would not expect them to stray far from that this season. The Hokies are going to struggle on offense, especially against a caliber of opponent such as the Tide. However, this is going to be one of those Frank Beamor defenses that puts up similar numbers as the Tide has done recently. The No. 18 ranked stop-unit from a year ago is poised to be better, as they have all the key elements returning. Tech went 7-2 to the UNDER a year ago in their last nine. And, as talented as the Tide offense is, it won't be at peak form in game one, and they are facing a strong defense. Nick Saban led teams are 21-8 to the UNDER when favored from 10.5 to 21 points. Play this one UNDER the total.
