Alabama at Georgia

It seems like these teams should have played more, but since 1980 they have met just 11 times with the Tide holding a slim 6-5 advantage. This game will go a long way in determining who is going to be fighting for a Final Four spot at the end of the regular season. This game is bigger in many ways for Alabama as they have already suffered aa home loss to Ole Miss. The fact that for the first time since the 2005-06 season, the Tide has not scored 40 points or more in any of their first four games is telling of the inexperienced offense. Alabama has always led with their defense, and the 43 points allowed to Ole Miss was a factor of five turnovers by the offense. Georgia has a lot of new pieces on offense, including at QB, and I think the intensity of this game will be led on the defensive side for both teams. Georgia went for 40+ in their last game, but after doing so they have played four straight UNDER the total, as well as seeing four of their last five vs. a winning team play UNDER the total as well.
