Akron at Northern Illinois

Northern Illinois was expected to be less effective this season, having lost a lot of key players from a year ago. But, one key player is still around and that is QB Jordan Lynch, and he is no doubt a difference maker. The Huskies have won 16 straight regular season games. Lynch has been more than impressive, passing for 4,451 yards and 37 TDs, while running for 2,348 yards, with 18 more TDs. Akron had a miracle game against Michigan, but this is still a team that is a long way from being competitive/ The Zips have not beaten an FBS team since November of 2010. They are not covering much either, especially in conference play where they have a long-term record of struggling at 17-37-1 ATS in their last 55. Northern Illinois shows up for bad teams, as they own a 15-5-2 ATS mark in their last 22 vs. a losing team. Take the Huskies to roll.
