The Zips got a much needed win last week winning 36-13, albeit against lowly VMI. The Zips are just 4-23 straight up in their last 27 games. It would be very easy to dismiss this team, but what this is a game they can hang in. They have beaten this Eastern Michigan team each of the last two meetings. EMU has a pair of wins this season, but at the same time like Akron, they have not beaten a team from Div-1. This is a ton of points for a team like Eastern Michigan to lay, especially when you consider their Division 1 track record that shows they have not beaten a team by more than four points since October 27th 2007 (4 years ago!), and that has been the only one since 2005. The Zips have been competitive in this range at 4-1 ATS as a road dog of 3.5-10, while eastern Michigan just 7-20 ATS in their last 27 at home. This is too many points here and I'm playing on Akron.
