Air Force at New Mexico

Air Force looks to avenge a tough 45-40 loss to the Lobos last year and to bounce back from a heartbreaking defeat at the hands of San Diego State last Saturday when the Aztecs scored a late touchdown to win 28-24. The Falcons racked up 220 rushing yards against San Diego State and are #11 in the country with 281.7 rushing yards per game.  Air Force attempted only six passes against the Aztecs and completed two for 33 yards in their time-consuming option offense.  New Mexico has had a plethora of injuries at the quarterback position with Lamar Jordan and Tevaka Tuioti both suffering concussions and Colton Gerhart, a converted running back, is probable with a shoulder injury. The Lobos lost to New Mexico State and Boise State before edging Tulsa 16-13 as they ran the ball 59 times for 338 yards, but lost two fumbles and threw an interception. Gerhart was 9 of 14 for 108 yards, but he rushed for 156 yards on 24 carries. New Mexico has gone UNDER five games in a row dating to last season and is 1-4 ATS its last five games after a win.  Also, New Mexico is just 2-5 ATS its last seven home games. Both teams will use a lot of clock with their ground-oriented offenses and the Falcons are 8-2 ATS their last 10 September games. Take Air Force and the UNDER.
