Air Force vs. Army

Air Force lost 19-14 to Boise State on Oct. 22 and went UNDER for the second week in a row, and then the Falcons had a bye last week. The Falcons are #9 in the country both in total yards allowed (289.6 per game) and scoring defense (16.8). Air Force and Army are #1 and #2 in rushing yardage and that is not too surprising as they traditionally have had time-consuming running games and that is the main reason the past eight meetings have stayed UNDER. Last year's game went into overtime and it still went UNDER by three points as Army won 21-14. Overall the past eight years the games have gone UNDER by an average of 17.3 points and neither team has scored more than 21 points the past five meetings. Army has played a relatively weak schedule and scored only 10 points against Wake Forest and 14 versus Georgia State, arguably their two toughest opponents this season. The Black Knights attempted only four passes against UL Monroe and ran the ball 62 times. Both of the schools know how to defend the option attack because they see it every day in practice. The Falcons are 13-3 UNDER after a bye week and 15-5 UNDER their past 20 non-conference games. The game is being played in Arlington, Texas and Army is 21-7 UNDER its past 28 neutral-site games and the Black Knights are 29-8 UNDER following a week off. Take the UNDER as my CFB Game of the Year
