Georgia Bulldogs vs Texas Longhorns

It took eight overtimes, but Georgia pulled off a 44-42 win over Georgia Tech keeping the Bulldogs' playoff hopes alive as they head into the SEC Championship game against Texas. Carson Beck threw five touchdown passes and finished 28 of 43 for 297 yards. Beck has 11 TD passes with no interceptions his past three games and his performance is peaking at the right time. The Bulldogs know how to win the big games and they are 6-2-1 ATS their past nine games as underdogs. Texas is 2-4 ATS its past six games and already has lost at home to Georgia 30-15 on Oct. 19. The Longhorns were held scoreless in the first half and totaled just 29 rushing yards on 27 carries. Quinn Ewers finished 25 of 43 for 211 yards with two TDs and an interception. The Georgia defensive line was the difference and that will be a problem again for the Longhorns, who just got by Texas A&M on Saturday, 17-7, and were shut out in the second half. The Bulldogs getting points is too good to pass up. Take Georgia.

SUGAR BOWL - This is a tough spot for Georgia. They had Alabama on the ropes leading by 14 and let it slip away again just like last year. It is going to be a bit harder for this team to focus here. Georgia's vaunted offense vs. the top three defensive opponents on their schedule averaged just 23.7 points per game. While they were 7-0 at home, the Bulldogs were just 4-2 on the road, where their offense dropped significantly and their stout defense bent. Texas held Oklahoma under 40 points after the Sooners went eight straight going for 40+. I think the Longhorns can keep the Bulldogs away from 30 points. Tom Herman coached teams are 12-2 ATS as an underdog. Plus, at Texas, Herman is 8-1 UNDER as an underdog. And dating back to the 2016 season, the Longhorns are 25-13 to the UNDER.
