The Atlantic-10 added a couple of quality NCAA Tournament-type teams with the addition of Butler, and VCU. It certainly will be upgrade the conference to have those programs join the ranks. George Washington was a force under Karl Hobbs, but has struggled since. Last year, despite a 10-21 record, the Colonels were highly competitive as they were outscored by less than 5 points per game. The Colonels are going to be strong inside, with some international recruits, and Villanova transfer Isaiah Armwood. They should generate more offense than they did last season. The Penguins have long been a doormat in the Horizon Conference, but have slowly inched their way up. Last year they had a winning season for the first time since 2001 at 16-15. The Penguins lost their strength underneath, and will be inexperienced in the front-court, and that is where George Washington can exploit this team. Play on George Washington.
