This is an interesting matchup. Each of these teams had defining moments in their seasons, as Notre Dame lost their top scorer in Tim Abromaitis to a season-ending knee injury. However, that injury brought the team together, and from that point on the Irish began to play team basketball, and played at a much higher level. Xavier got into a brawl with in-state rival Cincinnati, leading to player suspensions and the team never quite made it back to what they were before the suspensions. The Musketeers were 8-0 after that Cincinnati game, but from that point on went a pedestrian 13-12. Xavier is now 2-9-2 ATS in their last 13 after a loss and 1-7 ATS in their last eight at a neutral site. The Irish are 4-0 ATS in their last four vs. the A-10, get the midnight St. Patrick's Day off to a good start with the win and cover.
