Xavier vs. Creighton

Xavier is undefeated in eight games this season, but it will face its toughest test today as it goes on the road to play Creighton, which is 6-2 and the only losses were to Marquette and Kansas. The Bluejays have a deep, experienced squad with five players averaging double digits. Denzel Mahoney scores a team-leading 15.3 points, Marcus Zegarowski averages 14.3 points and 6-7 forward/center Christian Bishop adds 13.1 points and pulls down 5.9 rebounds per game. Xavier has played only once since Dec. 9 and it was a 91-88 win over Marquette and the Musketeers shot 53.5 percent. Creighton also shoots better than 50 percent on the season and it comes off a 76-74 overtime win over Connecticut, which was held to 36-percent shooting.
