Wofford at Richmond

The Richmond Spiders enjoyed success with back-to-back NCAA Tournaments appearances. Their run included a Sweet-16 appearance, but they finished just 16-16 a year ago, and had a losing record in conference play. This line is a carryover of public familiarity with this team, which certainly has slipped from the plateau of their successful seasons that most remember. The Spiders are picked in the lower tier of the A-10 this season, so a continued regression is likely this season. Their 3-1 start against three cupcakes is not indicative of what to expect going forward. Wofford has been a presence without the Davidson notoriety in the Southern Conference, and won 19 games a year ago. Wofford lost some scoring, but has some holdovers that are more than capable of picking up the slack to give the Spiders a handful here. Play on Wofford.
