Winthrop broke on the national scene over the last two years with a talented, experienced group. All good things must come to an end and Bradshaw, Martin and Williams are all departed as well as coach Marshall from a 29-5 team. To make matters worse DeAndre Adams, who was expected to contribute this year, lost his life in a car crash. Winthrop will have a new system, new coach and a lot of new faces on the court. Georgia Tech lost Young, and Crittendon, who both opted for the draft, but returns a very talented frontcourt. Let's not feel sorry for Tech, they also have one of the top three-point marksmen in the country in Anthony Morrow and he is lighting it up for 24.3-ppg and 58% from beyond the arc. Lewis Cinch also returns, and he was the leading scorer for Tech last year, before losing his eligibility. This line carries with it a Winthrop reputation and positive public image. But what built that is gone and the remaining talent just doesn't matchup with what Tech brings to this contest.
