Western Michigan at San Diego

The Western Michigan Broncos have some gaudy numbers to start the season as they are off to a 3-0 start. The Broncos have shot the ball at a 59% clip, which is good enough for third best in the country. They have also knocked down 46% of their 3's, both very impressive numbers to start the season. That loses a lot of value when you consider one of their opponents was Aquinas, and the other two opponents are a combined 0-6 to start the season. They will head a lot deeper into the pool as they head for the West Coast to take on San Diego. San Diego has a 2-1 record, and a credible loss to Boise State, who has suffereed just one loss to a top five team in Wisconsin. While Western Michigan may knock down some shots here to stay close, the rest of their game is not that good, and the numbers are not telling the whole story here.
