Cornell had a couple of dominating years in the Ivy League, and they try to build on a 12-16 mark from a year ago. The Big Red returns their starting backcourt in Johnathon Gray, and Galal Cancer, both who should benefit from a year of experience. Last season they shot in the high 30s, and more is expected and likely this year. The new go-to guy will be Shonn Miller who should be a double-double threat this season, as well as a shot blocker (1.6 blocks/game last season). The Western Michigan Broncos are picked to finish near the bottom of the MAC this season. While a lot was expected from last year's senior-laden lineup, the Broncos’ roster has been depleted, and now includes eight freshmen. The Broncos also got bad news when Matt Stainbrook took his 11.4 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per game with him to Xavier. The Broncos are going to need some time to figure out who they are, so not much is expected early. Play on Cornell.
