Western Illinois begins the season on a long road trip to the West Coast. They come off a 21-win campaign but return only three roster members. Western Illinois won 59-55 at San Jose State on Monday, shooting 43.1% from the field and losing the turnover battle 13-to-6. Pepperdine returns two key players in 6-10 senior Boubacar Coulibaly (8.5 points, 5.5 rebounds per game, 59% shooting) and guard David Mager.
