Virginia Commonwealth at Massachusetts

VCU was at 17-6 a short time ago and certainly looked like an NCAA Tournament team. Those hopes are fading fast as the Rams have lost their last four and at 17-10 are now on the outside looking in. The solid defense that has carried this team for many years has allowed 73.8 point per game in the four losses. Just one of their previous six opponents prior to that scored 74 or more. This may provide UMass enough opportunities to score a bit more. The UMass defense is another story as they have allowed a lot of points this season vs. the better teams on their schedule.
