You have to ask yourself what the odds-makers know here to set this line as low as it is. Vandy is not a good team and LSU has been decent, even upsetting No. 17 Missouri a week ago. This is a must-win of sorts for Vanderbilt as they try to avoid a fourth straight loss for the first time this season. Vandy has won seven straight in this series so expect this one to be closer than it might appear at first. Their defense can and should keep them in this game. And, their slow-pace has always caused problems for LSU. The Tigers have lost 24 of their last 35 ATS vs. slow-down teams like the Commodores (teams averaging under 54 shots per game). The Commodores are 18-8 ATS on the road the past three seasons. And, since last season, they are 15-6 ATS after an ATS loss. LSU is 1-11 ATS in their last 12 home games after a close win by 3 points or less. Take the Commodores to keep this one close.
