Valparaiso vs. Maryland

The Maryland Terrapins certainly made the transition into the Big-10 a successful one, as they finished the season in second place with an overall record of 27-6. Maryland is led by an explosive freshman in Melo Trimble who averages a team best 16.3 points per game, and is a bonafide closer down the stretch as he connects on 86.5% from the line. The Terps have the ingredients for a deep run, and will be ready for Valparaiso. Valpo was a 28-game winner, but in their only contest vs. a power conference team, they were beaten soundly by a not-so good Missouri team by 15, and their out-of-conference schedule included no teams in the NCAA Tournament, and they are very overrated at this point.
