Valparaiso at Monmouth

Valparaiso looks to get back on track after losing to Western Kentucky 83-71 on Thursday, and the Crusaders have a great opportunity as they face Monmouth in the second round of the Myrtle Beach Invitational. The Hawks have lost their first four games this season and their last seven dating to last year. Monmouth was routed by West Virginia 71-53 and shot only 36.0 percent from the field, and Deion Hammond was their only scorer in double figures with 10 points. Monmouth lost two of its top three scorers from last year's squad and so far it is shooting less than 40 percent from the field and only 28.4 percent from three-point range. The Crusaders have covered five of their last seven when following an ATS loss and Monmouth is 1-4 ATS its last five after an ATS win. Monmouth did cover as a 20-point underdog versus the Mountaineers, but they're getting a lot fewer points in this one. Play Valparaiso.
