Valparaiso has had a couple of strong seasons, including last year where they won 26 games and earned an NCAA bid. They lost respectably to Michigan State by just 11 to make their tournament exit. They will not be duplicating the past success this season, as they have to replace five of their top six scorers from last season. While Valpo has talent, it is going to take time for it to come together, so now is the time to play against them. Evansville has started 3-0, and this might be their toughest game to date, but they have gained some confidence and experience from the three games. D.J. Balentine has been a huge surprise after averaging just 8 points per game from last year's campaign, and is is assaulting opposing defenses at 29 ppg this year. He also works as a closer for the Purple Aces if things get tight. He is the best answer on the court tonight, and for that reason I'll take Evansville on the moneyline.
