UTEP is unbeaten with a fierce defense allowing 52 and 56 points in two of its wins. Vince Hunter and Cedrick Lang both had double-doubles as UTEP pulled away late to edge Princeton 62-56, in the quarterfinals of the Wooden Legacy on Thursday afternoon in Fullerton. The Miners are 14-5 ATS in their last 19 non-conference games, plus 17-6-1 ATS against a team with a winning percentage above .600. They face an unbeaten Xavier squad that is big up front, but UTEP has a great frontcourt in 6-8 sophomore Vince Hunter (18 ppg, 12 rpg) and 6-10 senior Cedrick Lang (12 ppg, 7.7 rpg). Frontcourt dominance is an edge Xavier has on most teams - but not this one, making it an even game all the way. Take the points on UTEP.
