UTEP at North Texas

The UTEP Miners have a strong basketball history and this is a team that has won 18 games or more in eight of the last nine seasons, but they are in a rebuilding mode this season at 9-15. That process is already taking shape as the Miners opened the season a woeful 1-13 in their first 14 games vs. Division-1 opponents, but have really started to come together since as they are 7-2 in their last nine. They have become an under-the-radar team, covering seven straight games. North Texas has been just the opposite as they are 1-12 in their last 13 games. North Texas took a blow when they lost Jeremy Combs for the season, taking away his 10.2 points per game and team leading 6.4 rebounds per game.
