USC Upstate at Charleston Southern

South Carolina Upstate has had a horrific season. It has landed them in last place in the Big South Conference. This season the Spartans are 5-23 overall and 1-12 in conference play. They will travel to take on Charleston Southern who is 10-19 on the season, and 6-8 in conference action. Looking at this game closer w ithout considering the records of each team, the Spartans are -8 in scoring margin and Charleston is -5, but they are a better shooting team that takes more shots, and defensively these teams are a wash. These teams at the bottom of their conference late in the year, are generally good bets, because the odds makers tend to expand the line on the favorite. I like USC Upstate in this one.
