Last year when these two teams met, Citadel lost by 22. But, USC lost three starters that combined for over 55% of their scoring from last year. The young players showed signs of really struggling in the Trojans' first game as they lost outright 81-96 in an unlined game vs. Mercer. They shot 40% from the field while allowing 59%. USC is on a 2-11 ATS run on the road in November games. It's hard to find reasons to back The Citadel but note that home teams that closed out last season losing 13+ of their last 15 games have covered at a 67% rate during the first five games of the season over the past decade. If the bad team is an underdog, the win rate improves to 78%. We'll back the Citadel plus the generous points here.
