USC vs. Michigan State

USC will take on Michigan St. in Columbus, Ohio to open their NCAA Tournament. The Spartans played a tough Big-10 schedule and finished the season at 19-12. Michigan St. under Tom Izzo has always been known as a defensive stalwart but this season the defense has not been on the level of many of his past teams. That was true later in the season as the Spartans closed out playing five of their last six OVER the total. They also allowed 48% shooting or better in five of those six games. Andy Enfield led his USC team to a 22-10 mark. The Trojans' offense improved late in the season as they scored 77 or more points in eight of their final 13 games and played 9-4 to the OVER. I think both teams are better offensively than they are on the defensive end and I look for this one to play OVER the total.
