NJIT is only 2-5-1 ATS its last eight home games and 2-5 ATS as a home favorite and the Highlanders are a small favorite coming into this game even with UMBC having lost five in a row. The Retrievers have played some tough road games and they do have a victory over Pittsburgh on Nov. 27. They have a solid backcourt with L.J. Owens and Darnell Rogers and Keondre Kennedy leads the team with a 14.7 scoring average. UMBC won the last meeting 75-71 in February as it pushed as a four-point favorite. The Retrievers have played solid defense their last two games holding opponents to 42.0 percent shooting, but they need to improve some on their offensive end. Take UMBC.
