UMass-Lowell at Arizona State

Arizona State bounced back from a season-opening loss to Mississippi State with a 63-52 win over Texas Southern, which shot just 32 percent. The Sun Devils did it with defense as they shot only 40 percent and were led by Frankie Collins, who scored 13 points. Collins is the only returning starter, but coach Bobby Hurley always recruits well and there is lots of talent and depth on the roster. UMass Lowell is 3-0 after defeating Georgia Tech on Tuesday with Ayinde Hikim scoring 24 points for the River Hawks, who made only two 3-pointers in the game. This will be a tougher test as the Sun Devils have more depth and size than the Yellow Jackets. UMass Lowell's other two wins were against small-school Rivier and Dartmouth.
