UMass-Lowell at Long Island

Both of these teams come off losses and LIU-Brooklyn had an especially hard time as it lost to Rhode Island 76-65 while shooting only 32.4 percent from the field. The Sharks still are supposed to contend for the Northeast Conference title and we can expect a huge improvement as the season goes on. Ashtyn Bradley led LIU with 21 points and Ty Flowers finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds. UMass Lowell comes off a 15-17 season that included its first appearance in the America East Tournament. The River Hawks return four starters featuring Christian Lutete, who averaged 18.6 points and 7.6 rebounds last season. Obadiah Noel led the River Hawks with 18 points and Lutete added 17 against Massachusetts on Tuesday. The good thing about LIU's performance on Tuesday was that it held the Rams to just a .386 field goal percentage, but the Sharks were victimized by their 29.5-percent shooting from 3-point range.  Look for the Sharks to bounce back and play LIU-Brooklyn.
