UL Monroe at Coppin State

It took a school which nobody has heard of, but Coppin State finally got a win and it was against Goldey-Beacom College 89-83 on Thursday. Tre' Thomas scored 25 points in the victory and Terry Harris Jr. added 21 points and nine rebounds for the Eagles. Coppin State lost 12 games by eight points or fewer and six in overtime last season and this year the Eagles have played most of their games on the road against some tough competition. Now they get a chance for a win against Louisiana Monroe, which is just 4-6 and 0-6 away from home. The Warhawks lost 68-64 at Northwestern State on Saturday with Sam McDaniel their leading scorer with 13 points and Travis Munnings adding 12 points with 12 rebounds. And, under head coach Keith Richard, the Warhawks are just 3-13 straight-up on the road in non-conference games and 3-16 straight-up vs. poor offensive teams like Coppin State (teams averaging 64 or fewer points per game).
