Lafayette has dropped six straight and it looks like the wrong side to take here. But, a closer look shows the Cajuns in every game, except Tennessee and Central Florida, both by far superior to today's opponent. The Cajuns are shooting poorly, yet still manage to stay in games. Monroe's losses to Nicholl's State and SF Austin show they aren't equipped to be a big favorite at this point. It's hard to back a team that has already accumulated 158 turnovers, while generating just 117 assists. That's too many lost possessions, especially in a rivalry game. And they just don't have enough shooters (43% as a team) to overcome lost possessions. This looks like an overlay from here, and we will back the dog.
