LA Lafayette is now two years removed from taking Louisville to the wire in an NCAA tournament game, and all key personnel from that team are now gone. There are 9 newcomers on this team, and that has lead to just one win vs D-1A competition in 9 tries. It will be a rocky road this season. Fullerton has lots of high hopes for an NCAA tournament bid this season. Those hopes rest with a few double digit returning scorers, and a few transfers. Scott Cutley, brough over Marcus Crenshaw from Kent St. with him, and then there is Ray Reed from Georgetown now eligible. That does not include Bobby Brown 22.7ppg, and Fullerton suddenly has 6 double digit scorers. Outside of Dees, and Mouton, there is nothing else for LA Lafayette on offense, and since Fullerton has four excellent guards those two are going to be doing a lot of chasing, and have fresh defenders on them all game. Not a good spot for the visitor.
