Tulsa has a losing record on the road and is 2-3 the last five games. They are nearing the end of a stretch playing six of seven road games (this is Game No. 6 of that tough run). They take on a Southern Methodist team that is playing well for first-year coach Larry Brown, a guy who brings a track record of winning, defense and defending home court to the program. Brown at home: His teams are 100-12 (.893) at home and SMU is 5-1 at home this season. The Mustangs started 5-0 at home for the first time since starting 5-0 in 2006-07 and he has also brought balanced, unselfish basketball as SMU has had five players score 20+ points this season. The schools have split the last four contests, with each team winning a pair on the others home court, so the value with this game is SMU on the moneyline.
