Ole Miss made great strides last season under new head coach Andy Kennedy (SEC coach of the year). They went from 4-12 in-conference to 8-8 and finished 21-13 overall. This season, with four returning starters and another offseason to learn the new offense and defense, the Rebels are 4-0, scoring 95 ppg. Troy returned just two starters from last year and they have started 1-3. Their lone win came against Paul Quinn - a game in which Troy allowed 131 points! So while Memphis has improved and is playing well, Troy has gotten worse. Last season these teams played six common opponents with Ole Miss going 6-0 while Troy went 1-5. When Mississippi gets on a roll, they keep it going. Under Kennedy they are 16-5 ATS following a game in which they scored 80+ points. In the first five games of the season, favorites coming off a home with with 2+ more returning starters than their opponent are 74-35 ATS (68%) over the past decade. We go with Miss to crush Troy here.
