Toledo at St. Joseph's

It seems like Phil Martelli has been at St. Joe's forever. He certainly has been productive, and his influence can be found in the line, but not compensated for. He has led the Hawks to a 87-63-3 ATS record the last five years, and has covered 60% as a home favorite over the same period. He also owns a 9-1 SU mark and 6-2 ATS mark in games 1 and 2, so his teams are typically more prepared than the opponents to open the season. The Rockets have a few pieces remaining from last season, but the team really fell apart down the stretch. They were 16-9, and dropped six of their final seven games, to complete a disappointing 17-15 season, which ended with a first round loss to Eastern Michigan in the MAC Tournament. This is a tall order opening at St. Joe's, who will likely be the better prepared team. Play on St. Joe's.
