Toledo at Arkansas State

While we are just a week before the Christmas holiday, it isn't that often we find a mid-major team, especially from the MAC, that is unbeaten. That is the case for the Toledo Rockets who have wiped the slate clean in their first nine games at 9-0. While that is the case, you can also make the case that they should be 9-0 as they have faced limited competition through the first nine, and they will have a target on their backs tonight vs. Arkansas State. The Red Wolves have started 5-3, but are 3-0 on home hardwood, winning all of them by 10 points or more. Toledo isn't baggage free despite their perfection, as they have bitten the bullet against winning teams at just 2-5 ATS in their seven. Regarding the total in this matchup, the Toledo Rockets have certainly done some scoring, but that was against very weak defensive teams, and teams that overall grade out poorly. Arkansas State has been a solid defensive team at home, where none of their three opponents have scored more than 62 points, and I really don't see this game getting out of the 70s at best. The Rockets are 15-7-1 to the UNDER in their last 23 on the road, including 8-2 to the UNDER vs. a team with a winning home record. Arkansas State has played each of their last four vs. the MAC to the UNDER. The Red Wolves will be ready, so take Arkansas State and also play the UNDER in this one.
