Texas State was picked to finish last in the Sun Belt Conference, but the Bobcats have surprised everyone with a 17-11 season and have won two straight after their 90-64 blowout win over South Alabama on Monday. Kavin Gilder-Tilbury scored 26 points on 10-of-15 shooting for the Bobcats and grabbed 11 rebounds and Nijal Pearson added 15 points as Texas State shot 58.6 percent from the field. Louisiana-Lafayette comes off a 77-62 win over Appalachian State with Frank Bartley IV scoring 21 points and Bryce Washington adding 15 points with 12 rebounds for the Ragin' Cajuns. Louisiana has won four straight after losing four in a row. The Ragin' Cajuns won the first metting 79-73 on Jan. 21 shooting 54.2 percent and look for them to cool off in this matchup as the points loom large. Play Texas State.
