Texas State at Arizona State

The oddsmakers have a tough time with some of these early season games that feature a team looking for a paycheck as a sacrificial lamb to a major program. Arizona State is coming off of a 52-point win in their opener, and look to make it back-to-back blowouts here. The fact that nine players all saw significant minutes and contributed five or more points, shows the garbage time drop-off is just not there, so the backdoor cover by the dog here is unlikely. Not much to say about Texas State as they are in one of the weakest conferences and are expected to finish dead last! This is a case of a team off a blowout favored by 20+ in their next game that has done exceptionally well in the last decade, indicating a repeat performance is in order. I'll go with Arizona State here.
