Texas at North Carolina

The Texas Longhorns lost six players to the NBA over the last two seasons and all five starters from a year ago have moved on. While the talent pool is deep, they are reliant on three freshman for a lot of the scoring and are coming to Chapel Hill where they will face a lineup filled with future NBA players is a monumental task. Lost in the offensive firepower of the Tar Heels is their ability to defend, allowing opponents to connect on just 38.3% of their field goal attempts. Texas beat the Heels last season, and will be looking for redemption.  They have superior experience, homecourt and motivation here. That is a lethal mixture. The Longhorns are just 2-7 ATS in their last nine and simply don't have the experience to slow down a Carolina attack that has gone for 94ppg in their last four at home. The Heels have allowed 65ppg at home this season and many of those points came in garbage time as they are capable of holding Texas to 60 or less here. Texas has been a good defensive team and will be able to keep the Heels out of the 90s in this one.  With a high total, I expect more of a game in the 140s. The Heels have gone UNDER in 16 of their last 25 going back to last season including five of their last six this year. Make the play on North Carolina and the UNDER in this one.
