Tennessee at Oakland

Bruce Pearl did a number on the Tennessee program, and it may be awhile before the Volunteers get back on their feet. This is a roster full of newbies. Six seniors departed from a year ago as well as their best two players who opting for the NBA. While the early returns have been good because they have shot the ball at a pace that won't continue, it has offered value in the line here as well as the total. Little-known Oakland can flat out play. The Golden Grizzlies have a talented trio returning from a year ago, and Michigan transfer Laval Lucas-Perry has given them another scorer. This is by and large the better part of a team that took Texas to the wire in the NCAA Tourney a year ago, and hasn’t lost on this court since their opening game three years ago. The Vols are just 3-7 ATS in their last 10 as chalk, and 1-6 ATS in their last seven vs. a winning team. The Golden Grizzlies have been a cover machine at 23-9-1 ATS in their last 33 overall. Oakland can slow down the hot shooting Volunteers here, who have not been so offensive on the road where they are 38-15-1 to the UNDER in their last 54 on the road. The Grizzlies ramp-up the "D" as a dog of +7 or less at 5-1 to the UNDER. Play on Oakland and the UNDER in this one.
