The Skyhawks are heading for a tough season. They have mustered just a single win (excluding Maryville), and it was over lowly Elon. Their schedule has had some winning opportunities, but the Skyhawks have come up short. They have one bona fide player in Lester Hudson who is averaging 23.6 points per game, but he is shooting just 41% to get them, and connecting on 31% from deep. That's a lot of empty trips especially when you factor in his 26 turnovers. The Blue Raiders have three losses, but when you consider they were against Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Houston and they stayed within 10 points of all three, obviously this team has some talent. They attack the boards as they have six players that get over four per game and have four double-digit scorers. Desmond Yates is their leader at 18 per game, but unlike Hudson, he is getting those points on 58% shooting and 40% from deep. The Blue Raiders have a trio of good marksmen all connecting at 40% plus, so they have enough weapons in the arsenal to take down a pretty big number. Middle Tennessee State gets the call here.
