Tenn Martin at Morehead State

Tennessee Martin has been the doormat in the OVC for several years. Last year's season concluded with 23 losses. They have just one returning player of note in Gerald Robinson, and they are once again picked for last in the OVC. Things have changed! Coach Campbell has brought in some JUCO players and freshmen that have made an immediate impact. Lester Hudson is averaging 26.4 ppg and Marquis Weddle is averaging 17.3 ppg. That is 41 points from out of nowhere. Throw in Djero Riedewald's 18 point 10 rebound performance off the bench last game, and this team suddenly takes on a completely different and unexpected look. This group has come together very fast, and are currently under the radar, and 6-0 ATS. Morehead State owns just two wins: one vs Alice Lloyd and another vs W. Illinois - hardly anything to get excited about. Their six losses have been by an average of 20+. This is a team that lost their top two guns from a year ago, and is struggling to find an identity and the rim, as they are shooting a pathetic 38% from the floor and 28% from three. Both these teams were expected to duke it out for the OVC basement, but one has surprised, while the other has been what we expected. Tennessee Martin is the better team at this stage, and we will grab them on the road.
