Tenn Martin at Memphis

It has been many years since this Memphis team was not only a force in C-USA, but a power to be reckoned with on the national level. That has them highly overrated entering this season. While they are still a solid team, they are not on the level of past teams. As a result, taking down big numbers with major blowout wins is not going to come easy for this team. They are off to a 3-2 start and have been beaten by teams they usually beat, and are being contested vs. teams they typically would blow out. They beat North Florida by just 15 points, and Samford by just 11 as a -25 point favorite. Tennessee Martin is certainly not a good team, but neither are the aforementioned programs. The fact is that this Memphis team isn't of the ilk of their past powerhouses, and they have to work for everything they get. They also are no-shows vs. teams under .400 at 7-15-1 ATS while the Skyhawks come to play after a huge 20 point or more loss at 9-1 ATS in their last 10.
