This is a big inner-city rivalry game as these teams meet every season as part of the Big-5, involving all the Philadelphia schools. The Owls lost four of their top five scorers from a year ago. But the lone holdover, Anthony Lee, as the Owl's leading rebounder last season. He is 6'9" 235 and will become a force on both ends of the court this season. The Owls had some good role players a year ago and should be fine heading into this season. Penn used to roam at the top of the Ivy League, but they have been soft the past few years. They return most all contributors, but those players couldn't even finish at .500 in the weak Ivy. Temple is 74-49 ATS as a road favorite while Penn is 8-19 ATS in their last 27 as a home underdog of 6 points or less. The Owls closed last season at 7-0 ATS on the road, and simply have a bigger talent edge here than the line would indicate. Take Temple.
