The Temple program has maintained its luster through the transition of John Chaney to Fran Dunphy, and next year they will be playing in the Big East Conference. While the Owls lost a lot they will regain the services of Scootie Randall this season. Khalif Wyatt returns with his 17 points per game as well. The Owls have made five straight NCAA Tournament appearances, and there is plenty of talent to make a sixth. Rob Senderoff saw his Kent State team open at 19-6 a year ago, but they melted down the stretch, losing four of their last six. This will be a much more challenging season as four of the top six scorers from that team have departed, and stepping up in class as a short dog vs. a Temple team is going to be a tall order. The Owls are 12-5 ATS in their last 17 vs. the MAC, while Kent State is just 17-36 in their last 53 out-of-conference tilts. Play on Temple.
