St. Bonaventure went on to surprise everyone a year ago with a Championship in the Atlantic-10, and an NCAA berth. They did lose Andrew Nicholson, a first round NBA draft pick, but there are still a lot of pieces leftover. Just as they surprised last year, the remaining players have the experience of winning, which creates a different mental outlook on the court. Cornell was the king for a few years in the Ivy, but the coach is gone and new coach Bill Courtney has not even come close to holding serve with those top-level Cornell teams. The Big Red is just 22-34 in his first two years. Losing your top two players off a mediocre team from a year ago does not bode well coming into this season. Cornell has the reputation to hold the line, but no longer has the coach and players to accomplish that. Play on St. Bonaventure.
