Southern Illinois vs. Nicholls State

The Southern Illinois Salukis had their days in the sun when they had control of the MVC and had some nice runs in the NCAA Tournament. They have not been able to get the program back to that level. They have started a questionable 6-3 this season, but their loss here last night to UC Davis shows that this team is a long way from being a solid team that will compete again in the MVC. Nicholls State is just 1-6, but has played a very difficult schedule to start the season. They held their own last night as a +16-point dog to Utah State before bowing by just 7 points. They are more than capable of playing to a similar outcome tonight vs. the Salukis, who are just 1-6-1 ATS following a loss in their last eight. Make the play on Nicholls State.
