This is a young Wake team that is going to take its lumps in the ACC this year, and may very well finish at the bottom. Williams and Hale were expected to carry the load, but both are barely averaging double-digits. Where do the points come from? The Wakies are shooting just 40% against marginal competition and have no deep threats, connecting on just 29%. The ball movement has been suspect as they have 142 turnovers to just 102 assists, and the free throw shooting has been a nightmare at just 63%. The Bulls are on the improve. Two years ago they posted just seven wins, last year 12, and now have won seven straight, covering them all. They are lead by kentrell Gransberry who is a beast inside. Gransberry was the only Big East player to average a double-double last season, and he is doing it again at 15.7 ppg, and 10.6 rpg. When Buckeley and Mattis graduated, the thought was the Bulls would have no support. But freshman Dominique Jones has exceeded expectations, pouring in 16.7 ppg to give the Bulls an inside out presence. Chris Howard is healthy after an ACL injury, and is netting 12.1 ppg. Jesus Verdejo, a former High School All-American, is finally living up to his billing. The Bulls are clicking from 3, at over 41%, and have too many weapons for a young Wake team.
