South Carolina at Florida

South Carlolina upset Kentucky yesterday to advance to this SEC championship matchup with Florida. It was their fourth straight SU and ATS win and their second straight SU win as a dog. Now they get 5.5 here as people still lack faith in them. Not me. I think they can pull this one off and will at least keep it close. Heck, South Carolina won both of the previous games between these ballclubs this year. They beat Florida by six at home and by 4 in Florida. Why can't they do it here on a neutral court? Their defense has been playing much better than Florida's of late (60.6 PPG given up vs. 69.6) and I'd rather back the team with the better defense than the one with the better offense in a championship game. South Carolina has done extremely well against great teams like Florida this year. In addition to having beaten Florida outright twice (covering both), they are 6-1 ATS against other top caliber teams (those that have won by an average of 12+ points per game). That's 8-1 ATS my friends. Two stars on the Gamecocks.
